The presentation which started at 12:05 pm was on “The importance of astronomy to Ghana. The pupils were curious and excited to learn about astronomy.

The PRAGSAC Outreach team had a special Girls only Astronomy club session on Friday 15th February at the Kuntunse cluster of schools. Theme : Let’s inspire our young women to reach for the stars!
The presentation started around 9 am. About 150 students and 5 teachers were present, including the Head of Dormeabra Methodist School 1. The presentation was on “The importance of astronomy to Ghana. The presentation was well received with a lot of questions from the students and teachers.
Day 1: Sessions were on Scientific Method, Earth, Moon, sun and eclipse, solar system and Galaxies. Presentation was done by the PRAGSAC team and activities were carried out with the patrons at the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute (GSSTI).
