Part I: Inter-schools Astronomy Quiz Competition The Astronomy in Ghana project climaxed with a quiz competition amongst the six clubs formed, where St. Martha’s Catholic Basic “B” School emerged as the winners. As part of the Inter-School quiz competition, an exhibition was held to assess students’ creative skills in modeling the 32-meter Ghana radio telescope….
The presentation which started at 12:05 pm was on “The importance of astronomy to Ghana. The pupils were curious and excited to learn about astronomy.

Teachers who will help to run the astronomy clubs in future were taken through astronomy topics such as Earth/Moon/Sun , Solar System and the Universe of Galaxies, as well as some hands-on activities and demos. Their enthusiasm was impressive, they kept us busy with their many varied and insightful questions.
